Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, the legendary Morini, Malaguti and Ducati are just a few of the many โ€œconstellationsโ€ of this land, synonymous with glamour and passion for millions of people all over the world. If you want to learn about the companies, cars, motorcycle, museums or to visit some of the world’s most beautiful and valuable private collections of cars and motorcycles, you are in the right place, because the region of Emilia Romagna is filled with a great “passion for motorsโ€ so much so that it is called MotorValley. During the annual “funghi” feasts Borgo Val di Taro is filled with Ferraris.

Parma is the ancient city of culture and music-loving nobility and rich of artworks that reflects to its past as a European capital. A visit to Parma can’t do without the wonderful sight of Piazza Duomo where the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Bishop’s Palace offer a rare picturesque medieval picture. In the center close to the Camera di San Paolo is the mighty Palazzo della Pilotta built by the Farnese family, the Biblioteca Palatina, the National Archaeological Museum, the wooden Farnese Theatre (one of the most ancient theaters in the world), the Bodoniano Museum, the National Gallery and the neoclassieke Regio Theatre. Furthermore you can’t miss the Parco Ducale rich in sculptures of artist Jean Baptiste Boudard, nor the Palazzo Ducal.

The Duchy of Bourbon Parma was a French enclave between Italian city states. The river Cogena (dialect for border) behind Casa la Brugna was the border between the Duchy of Parma and Genoa. Castles, palaces, forts and mansions in the area are seen as the most beautiful and best preserved of Italy, such as:

  • The castle of Bardi, the second largest in Europe, majestically on his spur of red jasper with towers and tours of the mighty walls, a picturesque place of arms and many rooms with frescoes.
  • The castle of Compianoย is dating back to the year 1000 and belonged to Grimaldi family. The castle dominates the old town but also the entire Taro valley. Now it is a hotel restaurant and you can visit the museum.
